Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - How To Earn Orichalcum & How To Spend It | Legendary Gear Guide

Learn more about how Orichalcum works in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, and how you can use it to get Legendary gear.

Orichalcum is a special in-game currency you can earn in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, and collecting it can help you unlock powerful Legendary gear. This is a returning system from Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and it worked (generally) the same way — but if you’re new to the game, I’m going to explain everything you need to know about Orichalcum.

First of all, you’ll need to find the vendor. He’s located in one of the first cities you visit after leaving the tutorial island. Once you’re off the island and have access to a ship, you’ll land at the port of Kirrha in the Pilgrim’s Landing region. There, it’s just a quick trip to Oikos’s marketplace. Talk to him, and he’ll explain the basics of Orichalcum. You can only earn it through special daily / weekly quests, or by finding it in hidden deposits all around the world.

How To Earn Orichalcum & How To Spend It | Legendary Gear Guide

Orichalcum is a special in-game currency that can be earned through Daily or Weekly quests. By completing Daily / Weekly Quests, you can earn about ~110 Orichalcum a week. You can also find one-use Orichalcum deposits around the world.

The Orichalcum Vendor is located in Pilgrim’s Landing, in Phokis. He’s called Oikos of the Olympians. He’s near the dock — you can’t miss him.

  • The Exotic Orichalcum Trader changes his inventory every few days. Check back often to see what new items he’s carrying!
  • Save Orichalcum for Legendary Gear. The first Legendary in the store costs 100 Orichalcum.
  • Don’t waste Orichalcum on Olympian Gifts. It’s cheaper, but rarely worth it. You’ll mostly get purple gear.
  • Orichalcum is tied to your account. Orichalcum that you earn is shared and account-wide. If you make a new character, you’ll still have the same amount of Orichalcum you earned on a previous character. On the new character, all Orichalcum Deposits will appear to reset — don’t be fooled, the deposits are still depleted.
  • Check Vendors To Purchase Orichalcum. Along with daily / weekly quests and deposits, you can also simply purchase more Orichalcum from vendors. Check their inventories to see how much is for sale. It’s pretty expensive, so save your Drachmae.
