Dead Space Remake Being Released Early From One Retailer

Players are potentially getting their hands on the game early.

Dead Space is an iconic survival horror franchise, but unfortunately, the remake didn’t make its way out into the marketplace for the spooky Halloween season of 2022. With that said, it will be one of the major horror games we’ll get a chance to play in 2023. We’re nearing the release date, and while we only have a few days left to go, it seems that some players are already getting their hands on the game. In particular, it looks like one retailer in North America has been selling copies ahead of the official launch date.

Thanks to a report by Gamesradar.com, we’re finding out that some players have been getting their hands on Dead Space. The upcoming remake is not set to launch until January 27, 2023, but it seems Walmart has been slipping. A couple of players have been taking to the Dead Space subreddit and showing off images of the game. Apparently, the retailer responsible for selling the game ahead of its official launch is Walmart which might sway some of you to head over to your local Walmart retail location in hopes they are following suit. 

We’re not sure just how widespread this issue has become. It could very well be just a couple of retail locations that accidentally put the games out ahead of time. Regardless, for fans that can’t wait to get their start in the campaign, Walmart might just be the go-to spot for a chance at getting the game now. But the chances are slim if there are very many retailer locations that are actually offering this game ahead of the official launch date. So you might be left waiting for the game to actually make its way out to store shelves both physically and digitally.

Again, the wait is not long at all before Dead Space is available. As mentioned, the game will be released in just a couple of days. On January 27, 2023, players will be able to pick the game up on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. Once released, players can once again experience the terrifying campaign as Isaac Clarke attempts to make his way off the infected USG Ishimura.
